One Tab is a reader for the news, sites, videos and podcasts you follow. It has no ads, no tracking and no accounts.
What stays on your iPhone
What you follow, what you read and save, your searches, your settings, and the sign-ins to papers you subscribe to (kept as those sites’ own cookies) stay on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, your settings and follows are kept in your own iCloud account, which One Tab can’t read.
What One Tab receives
Only crash reports, if the app closes unexpectedly: the technical report, the last few things the app did (for example “opened a story”, never which story or what you read), the app version, the iOS version and the iPhone model. They carry no name, account or device identifier and are kept for 90 days. You can turn this off in Settings → About → Diagnostics.
Services the app contacts for you
To show you content, One Tab connects directly to the sites, feeds and services you use: publishers’ websites and feeds, podcast hosts, YouTube’s embedded player, Apple (Apple Music, the App Store, the Apple Podcasts directory), Bing News and Google News when you search the web, and Open-Meteo for the weather on Today, which receives your approximate area only. Those services see the request as they would from a browser and handle it under their own privacy policies. When you sign in to a paper you subscribe to, you sign in on that paper’s own page; One Tab never sees your password.
Purchases
Purchases are handled by Apple. One Tab learns only which plan you have.
The beta waitlist
If you leave your email on this website, it’s kept only to tell you when the beta opens, and never shared. Write to privacy@onetabapp.cc to have it removed.
Children
One Tab isn’t directed at children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here. Questions: privacy@onetabapp.cc.
One Tab
One Tab
שאלות: privacy@onetabapp.cc.
